About

Hello, I’m Rebecca Collison-Walker

I am a fully qualified medical herbalist, who has completed over five years of professional training and over 500 clinical hours at one of the most prestigious herbal medicine schools in the UK.

I am also a member of the UK’s leading professional body - NIMH (National Institute of Medical Herbalists).

I strive to empower people to nurture their health through informed, evidence-based natural approaches. I operate with empathy, compassion and an open heart and mind.

My Journey

I was born and spent the first few years of my life in rural France, where I ran wild in the countryside. This nurtured a close connection with nature at an early age, and this was further fostered by my family as avid gardeners, and from whom I learnt much of my early knowledge around plants and medicine. Having spent many of my later years in London, I am well placed to balance the dichotomy between bustling city rhythms and calls back to nature and a slower pace.

Following a degree in Anthropology, where I focused on medical anthropology and exploring the myriad ways different cultures use medicine around the world, I followed my passion to work in health and wellbeing. I have worked in the health and wellbeing industry since my early twenties, knowing this was the path I wanted to dedicate myself to. From managing a busy London wellness clinic, to designing superfood blends and cosmetics to operational management of small wellbeing companies, I weave this experience into my work to create a supportive, informed, creative and compassionate environment.

About Rebecca Collison-Walker

Feeling the call to specialise, and knowing in my heart that it could only be with herbal medicine, I embarked on a journey to the Costa Rican jungle where I learnt first hand the incredibly powerful effect plants can have on healing. I spent the best part of a year living off grid, and learning the intricacies of plant medicine— this also involved recovering from a serious illness with the use of local herbs. It was after this profound experience that I decided to return to the UK to train as a professional medical herbalist so I could dedicate my life to helping others with the use of plant medicine.

Following a foundation course in herbal medicine, I went on to train at Betonica School of Herbal Medicine on a rigorous and intensive four-year professional course covering anatomy and physiology, organic chemistry, pharmacology, pathology, nutrition and materia medica amongst others, as well as completing over 500 hours of clinical training. This equipped me with the scientific understanding of a traditional medical system, allowing me to become a member of the governing body National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH), and gain full insurance to practice in the UK.

I currently run a busy clinic in London, Bristol and online where I see patients remotely and face-to-face. I also see patients from the Alchemy Bar at Six Senses London, where I work as an alchemist, hosting workshops and events to inspire people about the benefits of herbal wellbeing. I am also an assistant editor at Herbal Reality, a charity whose mission is to offer evidence-based, informative articles on a range of integrative health and herbal medicine topics.

I weave all my experience, knowledge and journey into my practice to offer a compassionate, informed and supportive space where together we can work to get you back to a state of balance.

I have always experienced difficult menstrual cycles, with emotional highs and lows so severe that it severely impacted my ability to function. Herbal medicine has shown me a different way, one where I don’t need to fear the end of the month and can learn from my cycle and work with its ebbs and flows rather than fighting against it. I am passionate about helping others to a place of freedom.
