  • As a qualified medical herbalist, I have undergone a five-year degree-level training in anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and clinical diagnosis, alongside extensive study of medicinal plants and their therapeutic actions and over 500 hours of clinical training. This depth of training ensures that my treatment plans are clinically informed, safe, and appropriate—particularly if you are taking medication or managing a diagnosed condition. 

    As a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH), I am held to strict standards of practice, ethics, and ongoing professional development. This provides reassurance that you are working with someone who is qualified, accountable, and committed to safe, evidence-informed care.

  • Yes, and as a qualified medical herbalist, I am trained to know about pharmacology which involves interactions and dosage alongside conventional medicine.

  • The length of time treatment is required will vary between individuals, and be dependent on various factors including the nature of the issue, the length of time you have been experiencing it, your metabolism, how your body responds to treatment, as well as diet and lifestyle considerations. As a general rule, three months is a good benchmark to allow the herbs to take effect and see considerable results.

  • Herbs are powerful, and can have profound effects. This is both encouraging and requires careful consideration. As a qualified medical herbalist, I am fully trained on safety and will always work with you within the remit of what is safe and effective.

  • Herbal medicine can be incredibly effective for children, and they often have a much quicker response than adults. Quantifying the correct dose is imperative, as children’s metabolism works differently to adults’. I will often start by prescribing teas, then we can explore glycerites and tinctures if necessary.

  • I operate a 24 hour cancellation policy, any appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the session will incur the full fee.
